She shares how ANS REWIRE became a framework for moving forward again and how, a few years later, she was back working, exercising, socialising and spending time with her family.

Hi, this is a message for anyone considering enrolling in the ANS REWIRE Programme. My name is Tiffany, I live in the UK, and I suffered with ME/CFS for about four and a half years before making a full recovery. I'm a project manager at a university and I also have a young daughter.

Tiffany’s ME/CFS Begins After Glandular Fever

I developed CFS/ME in May 2018 after suffering badly with glandular fever along with lots of other things.

How CFS Unravelled Helped Me Achieve Partial ME/CFS Recovery

After discovering Dan's book, CFS Unravelled, I managed to make a partial recovery to about 70 percent over a couple of years before relapsing really badly in the summer of 2020. The fatigue was crushing. I had multiple sensitivities to sound, to light, to sun. I sometimes couldn't sit up. I was bed bound for weeks at a time and housebound for the best part of a year and a half.

Trying Multiple Approaches, but “Nothing Stuck”

Before ANS REWIRE, I tried lots of strategies to get better. So I had done I had an established meditation practice, I changed my diet, I tried a keto diet, I tried lots of other things, I had taken a whole load of supplements I tried acupuncture, cranial osteopathy, and tons of other things, and I made some progress but I kept just falling back down again, and nothing stuck.

Why ANS REWIRE Became Tiffany’s Next Step

Dan had been part of my life by that point for a couple of years and his books CFS Unravelled and Discover Hope had helped explain the illness to me and kept giving me the, the hope and the push to try again each time.

So it was a natural step to do the recovery program, ANS REWIRE. What I loved about it was that the videos were very accessible and just having that daily video and that contact was quite calming and soothing in itself and I found the meditations particularly helpful. The program's easy to digest and I think as long as you're very honest with where you are and you don't push yourself too fast or too, too hard it provides a fantastic framework for recovery and can really help you recover your health.

A Few Years Later: A Full Recovery That Stuck

A few years later I'm back working again, exercising, socializing, and most importantly, spending loads of time with my family and making up for the time I missed when I was unwell. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Dan for everything that he does, both for the community and for the impact he's had on me personally.

Without discovering his book a few years ago and without taking part in the program, I'm not sure where I'd be today and for sure he's played a huge part in my recovery. So if you're in two minds about whether to do it, I'd say just give it a go. You've got nothing to lose, but potentially everything to gain.
