RECOVERY AT A GLANCE
Robert, living in Bavaria, Germany, says his ME/CFS symptoms began in early September 2016 and gradually worsened. He experienced fatigue, brain fog, severe sleep problems, nausea and post-exertional malaise. He could no longer exercise and found it increasingly difficult to keep going to work.
After extensive medical testing and trying approaches including Chinese medicine, naturopathy, herbal therapy, bioresonance, homeopathy, massage and psychotherapy without meaningful improvement, Robert started ANS REWIRE in June 2017. He says he knew within about 3–5 months that he was on the right path, although he was not yet feeling much better. At around 10 months he began noticing measurable changes in walking distance, concentration and sleep. By September 2018 he estimated he was about 85% recovered, and around February–March 2019 he describes himself as fully recovered.

Robert’s ME/CFS Symptoms and Impact on Daily Life
My name is Robert. I'm, uh, living in Germany now for five years in Bavaria. And, um, I was, uh, suffering with ME CFS for, uh, nearly three years.
Um, my, uh, journey begins or my CFS journey begins in, um, September, beginning of September 2016, uh, where I got, uh, let's say first, uh, first symptoms, um, like, uh, fatigue, brain fog, uh, I had really bad sleeping problems, nausea, especially also post-exertional malaise.
And this has impacted my life quite, um, quite hard. So I was not able to do any sports. Um, I was having hard times to go to work and so on and so on. Um, so it was quite hard time for me. Um, but of course the, um, the symptoms were gradually, so it was not everything at the beginning, but it has, uh, just, um, getting, uh, worse and worse by time.
Treatments Robert Tried Before ANS REWIRE
So, um, I tried a lot of things. So first of all, I, yeah, I, I thought it was some, uh, bad infection, which I caught. So I tried to clear up all the things, uh, by Western medicine. So I did a lot of tests. Which was also not so easy because the doctor said, okay, this was done. What do you want more and Um, and so I was quite fighting through this to get the test I wanted, but I did, uh, um, all the tests, but nothing really came out.
Everything was fine. I'm completely healthy. It was, uh, the first, uh, reaction of doctors and, um, Then I tried on my own, of course, uh, different kind of, uh, other, um, treatments or, um, different kind of, um, alternative medicine. So I was at Chinese medicine, uh, different kind of naturopaths, uh, herbal therapy, bioresonance, homeopathy.
Um, different kind of massage and, um, also psychotherapy. I tried the behavior therapy and so on. Um, I was reading a lot of books, articles and Google, of course, on this topic. The situation is, it was not getting better. Um, none of them was really helping. Um, so, um, I was struggling day to day and, um, the days went to weeks, the weeks went to months.
Um, and it was quite, um, stressful for me. Yeah, I felt quite miserable by that time. And, um, I was, um, constantly looking for somehow, um, the solution for my problem.
Starting ANS REWIRE and Finding a Path Forward
I tried a lot and, um, at the end, um, I would say, um, at the end, uh, I was, um, reading different books and one of the book was also from them. And in this book, I, I found a book really interesting.
And, um, in that book, I also noticed that Dan has, uh, this, uh, program since the book, um, caught my attention very, very. Well, I decided to also to try the program in the beginning. I was quite skeptical, like, like for everything I tried. Uh, but, um, since I tried so many things. I also, um, developed some kind of a filter.
I knew what was bad, what was good. And the feeling of this program was, um, so the, the inputs, which I got, the first inputs were very good. So I, I. Yeah, I labelled it at the beginning already as a good and, um, it has just proved that it was really a good decision for me. At the start of the program, this, uh, I started the program, uh, at the beginning of, uh, or yeah, let's say in June, 2017.
So I was more or less almost a year into the illness. Uh, so I really knew what CFS ME was before I joined the program. Uh, I tried it, uh, so I feel it on my, in my body and, um, and, uh, yeah, it was, uh, none of a magic pill or something, but I, I just, um, found that, uh, this was a right frame, uh, for me to, um, to give me the right path, um, to somehow, um, Um, get the right tools to fight against this illness.
And, uh, yes, I, I found very good that there was a very good explanation from Dan's side, um, because it was not too much, um, not too much technical, let's say, it was, um, uh, also very practical, but yet there, so yet it makes, it makes sense, everything what Dan says. So, um, and on the other hand, uh, that there was, uh, there were, um, exercises, uh, after every video, which, uh, gave me a feeling that I'm able to do something about it.
It was not just, um, yeah, just, um, be happy that you're still alive. Uh, although you're in bed or you cannot do any sports, but it was, it was motivational and, um, it was a path which I can follow and, And of course it also makes sense at the end, which was important to me.
First Measurable Improvements and Full Recovery
Um, yes. So it took me about, um, it took me about, let's say three, four, five months approximately, um, into the program, uh, where I would already notice that this is good, what I'm doing and I'm on the right path.
But still, I was not there. I was not, um, feeling much better. Uh, but I knew by that time that I was on the right track. So, um, let's say on, um, in after, after one year or after 10 months, uh, in the program, I was already feeling, uh, really first, uh, improvement. Um, which I could measure by, let's say, walking more, so walking longer distance than before, or, um, I was able to, um, To be more focused for longer time, which I was not able to, or maybe I was sleeping better, or maybe there was a day or two in the week where I was able to sleep at least six hours.
And these were all the indicators for me that, um, that the program works. So I stick to it. And, um, in September, 2018 was, it was one and a half year. So, uh, and, uh, I was about, uh, 85 percent recovered by then. And, uh, six months after that, so approximately in, um, February, March 2019, I was fully recovered. Um, I, I recommend everybody to start the ANS REWIRE program because it's a great tool, uh, which you can build on and which will lead you to your full recovery.
On my, on my own, I'm not sure if I would be able to do it because I would be too much. Um, um, let's say, um, frustrated as well, but also lost somehow. Um, or maybe my thoughts will go down and say, Oh, I read this nice article, but I'm still feeling unwell and I will sleep back. So this tool was really giving me every day a new positive motivation and not to think negative, but to stay positive.
And that's why I recommend everybody to do it because it's really helpful.
